Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I was recently informed by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta that he has promoted Father Joseph Samaan to a new assignment to lead the community of Saint Demetrios in Daytona Beach, FL. His Eminence made it very clear to me that he is well-pleased with the St. Stefanos community and this move comes as a gesture to express his satisfaction with Father Joseph's efforts and dedication. His Eminence has carefully reflected on who will be assigned to continue the work that Father Joseph and the St. Stefanos community have accomplished in the past five years. His Eminence informed me that Father John Bociu will be coming to us from the Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Tarpon Springs. The change in assignments is effective July 1, 2008.
